At first I thought I might see a very dark room, but I actually like it...a lot!  The light walls make the room look bright.

I think most grays are difficult to work with as the main color.  There are far too many shades and they do not work well together in most cases.

 

And some gray tends to go blue, but people still seem to think it isn't blue.  In a way, gray almost isn't a color:  It is beige/taupe or blue.  Even if it goes on "gray" it becomes one or the other depending on the light.

I find this room quite attractive in some ways.  To me, it looks like it may have been designed for someone with more masculine taste. I would probably have added a rug to bring the seating areas together.  I love what the plant and floral arrangements do for this room. Not too much....just enough.
