Serta TSV Hotel Mattress and Box spring!

Purchased in OCT when was TSV. Received it in Nov and loved it until last week! During middle of night loud crash sound awoke us! Wood panel under boxspring broke in half. We are average size so dont understand this. Hubby said looks like a bad piece of wood splintered and cracked. Called Serta next day and received paperwork to process claim in mail. Reading paperwork you send in tags, paperwork and then it says send check for 35 dollars to start investigation! Are you kidding me send Serta money to investigate a faulty product of theirs unreal!! Hubbyi s handy so he went home depot and purchased better wood and redid boxspring panels so problem is fixed! Just beware Serta wants money upfront to fix their problem!

Good for you to post this info - people need to know what they are getting into.

Thats terrible....why should you pay for something that is clearly their problem...did you contact QVC c.s. and tell them about it...

Not sure if they would have helped but they should know about this company....as they sell them often...

I hope ur Serta mattress continues to be comfortable. So many complaints about it sinking down the middle.

Re: Serta TSV Hotel Mattress and Box spring!

The same thing happened to a Serta mattress/box spring that I purchased for my son.  We sent the required $35 only to find out that they have no technicians in his area of the country, and it was up to him to take take all of the detailed steps necessary to "prove" that there was a problem.  I contacted QVC about the issue, and they were unable to help.  Buyer beware when it comes to Serta.  Make sure that they have technicians in your city, or you will pay $35 to find out that you are on your own to resolve your problems.  The $35 is non-refundable, by the way.
