Sears Home Warranty - are you happy with it?

My 5 month old GE fridge stopped working two weeks ago.  We were finally able to get a repairman today and he was wonderful and informative. He suggested I purchase a Sears Home Warranty because we have a lot of appliances and an HVAC system.  He gets no bonus for referring me to sign up online.

 

Does anyone here have this warranty and are you happy with it?

My BIL had it and said it was a Big mistake because. Their service was lousy so he canceled it. And their rating is a 1.1 by the way.

We have the *extended* warranty program with Sears, not the Home Warranty program. 

Our frig was replaced when they could not fix/replace the automated ice maker. The frig was from 2003.

 

The Home Warrenty program, I was told, has a deductible on every visit. And it is a per month payment.  It does not seem to be a good value for us.

 

I'm going to keep renewing the extended warranty as long as they offer it.  My washer and dryer are from 2003 or there abouts.
