Samll bathroom-painted walls. How often do you paint?

My bathroom is small & my wheelchair dings the door frame & the cornor of one wall.

But the rest of the bathroom with laundryis just looking tired after 2-1/2 years. I used semigloss when I painted.

How often do your small, heavily used bathrooms need refreshing? Tile isn't an option. Any other ideas for a durable wainscoting? Where are simple Marlite sheeting material when you need it?
