SUSPICIOUS ADVERTISING ON INSTAGRAM, FACEBOOK, TICTOC

I AM CURIOUS ABOUT SOME ADS ON SOCIAL MEDIA THAT LOOK TO BE FROM QVC & HSN.

THEY FEATURE THE SHELVING UNITS THAT FOLD COMPACTLY WHEN NOT IN USE.  THEY ARE SELLING ON QVC FOR I BELIEVE $149.00.  ON THIS  AD THEY ARE CLEARENCE PRICED AT $19.99 EACH BUT WAIT......BUY TWO AT 19.99  GET TWO FREE!

THE WEBSITE SELLING THEM IS CALLED "INTAMBRA" SUPPOSEDLY OUT OF CALIFORNIA.  COULDNT REALLY FIND ANY INFO ABOUT THIS COMPANY.

ANY THOUGHTS??  SHOULD I GO WITH MY INSTINCTS AND PUT MY WALLET AWAY?

INPUT FROM QVC WOULD BE HELPFUL.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERY ONE

@billyjohn

Yes, it's a scam. Report the ad.

It's not QVC/HSN. As you said it's a company calling themselves Intambra (odds are not even a real company, just a scammer/thief).

Facebook runs rampant with these scam ads.

Probably not located in California either, more likely China/India.

Put your wallet away. If something is too good to be true, it usually is.

Put your wallet away.  I purchased something from a FB ad and got scammed.  Fortunately it wasn't a lot and  my credit card company reimbursed  me.

Exit out of FB and go to that vendor's web page to see if it's a legitimate item.

The so called company has set up shop in Nov 2023.

At Web Paranoid it says in their opinion it's a suspicious shop that maybe sells fake or poor quality products or steal your identity. They advise against shopping. I would not get caught up in their scam. Keep your money.

If in doubt, don't.  Use your first reaction.

Also, don't open any odd emails.

If you need something look at the former Overstock dot com now BB&B.

@billyjohn.  Many, many Facebook ads aren't just suspicious, they're  fraudulent.   The ads you see for QVC using old videos certainly are.

Congress loves to investigate Meta (Facebook), I don't know why they don't investigate what they allow to be advertised.

Remember, if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is.

Obviously they are scams.  And there are tons of fake Qvc ads on Facebook.  My friend fell for one for a  Dooney cross body.  She did get a cheap poorly crafted leather bag but it wasn't Dooney.  Yeah, I laughed and then she laughed because what did she expect for $19.99.  Qvc is aware of these scams but there are so many of them, they are powerless to get them taken down.
