This was featured on both the "Flower" site and in "The Blue and White Home". The latter has the most pictures if you are interested in seeing more of the house.
I am in no shape or form an "orange" person; however, in this rather formal context, I think this glorious tiger lily shade enlivens a traditional dining room, and would glow beautifully at night by candlelight...
This was designated the "study". For some reason, they don't show the actual living room on either online site, at least I couldn't find it. This looks comfy.
Love the carriage lamp pendant, the slate blue colored island, and the gorgeous beam:
Original heart pine-walled family room, be still my heart! These rustic wood walls are found in many a refined, old southern manse. I think they are visually cooling on a hot day, yet cozy too. Imagine pouring tea in front of a roaring fire there, on one of those soft, mild-ish, Truman Capote-esque Alabama winter days...
Amazing chest, juxtaposed with cherry colored lamp.
This master bedroom sitting room, I'd gladly have as my main living room!
While not a huge wall paper fan, I find this so pretty and airy in the master bath...
Southern screened porch with the traditional soft blue ceiling...
Just one of the many fresh, pretty chinoiserie-influenced vignettes throughout the house. It's easy to forget what a nice touch it is having fresh fruit out in bowls. You'll notice lemons, and apples, etc. scattered throughout other rooms as well...

@Oznell thank you for sharing. How very, very lovely. I enjoyed the tour.
I am a lover of blue & white. I own Blue Danube (china), Blue Onion (porcelain) and lots of odds and ends pieces of blue & white, fish bowls, chamber pot, serving dishes, rice and vegetable bowls, ceiling fan pulls, lamp finials, foot wash basin, small chamber lamp, and other bits and pieces, white linens with pale blue monogram.
I also have some pieces of Satsuma (a dresser set) and lamp (made from a vase), a garden stool/bench.
I like British Colonial as well and have a blue/white and pastels large needlepoint rug of monkey musicians (very British colonial), some bamboo.
Most of my furnishings are Chippendale, Queen Anne and some I did stroll over to France with some Louis Bergere chairs in the bedroom. I have some BC accent pieces of rattan and cane and a cane inspired library stair-stepper.
It does require a lot of dustin and upkeep.

@Oznell Such a comfortable home and I love the touches of chinoiserie. Unfortunately, not an accessible reality for most of us. Dream worthy![]()

Absolutely beautiful! Although, the interior designer didn't stay strictly historical, their work had a unique, rich flow and a celebration of color.
I thought he/she did a wonderful mixture of Chinese Chippendale and Queen Anne chairs with the Duncan Phyfe dinning room table.

Thanks for the lovely looks.
Sweet Home Alabama ... 🎶 🎵
BTW - Here in the South the porch ceiling color is often referred to as ‘Haint Blue.’ The ‘haint’ being a word for haunt. Another useless bit of information.

My goodness there is some beautiful wood in those photos. The front doors alone took my breath away.
Just lovely!

I wouldn't mind a haint blue ceiling porch....just have to figure out how to make it work best with a Charleston green home.
(since we are dreaming lol)

I only like the porch, the rest of it looks like it must smell like mothballs.

Not useless info, @Drythe -- rich and interesting-- thanks for sharing! Love when people bring in that kind of colorful background.

But well worth the upkeep, I'm sure, @Nonametoday , you have some lovely things!
