Ha, ha, @Nonametoday --  that'd have to be a "mad tea party" indeed, for the guests to be tipping daffodil water out of vases and drinking!  Funny image.

No, I thought they might be alluding to using the water used for soaking daffodils 3-6 hours before putting them in vases with other flowers, in order to make a tea. Daffodils are so toxic.  But people have used them in the past on cakes or cupcakes (can't recall which) and were poisoned by them. 

 

Old wild dandelions are edible and several other flowers but not daffodils.
