Roomba, Neato, or other robotic vacuum?

I'm ready to get one of these, the Neato is less expensive than the Roomba, plus there are some other brands. Can anyone recommend a robot? The carpet in the house is a medium pile and we are thinking about getting a kitty, so it would have to be able to pick up cat hair.
