There is nothing that I like in this room except the bright sunlight coming through the windows.

Take my word for it:    You WOULDN'T WANT all that HOT blazing sun shining indoors on you, if you lived in the Southwest.    (My windows are covered with plantation shutters.)

I don't like the mustard-colored rug, the green chairs or the pink wall.  The rest of the room isn't bad.

I like the couch without the pillows.  Everything else, yikes.

Could they have anymore c*ap on that coffee table?   You have to dust all that and move it to get to the table.  I hate dusting.

I'd say 1930's "taste".     My mother had chartreuse walls...and EVERY piece of furniture was upholstered in a different color of satin brocade fabric. 

My grandmother's house was ALL BROWN, tho...

I like the room and the colors don't bother me since the painting links the colors together.  I don't normally like a pink room, but this one is muted enough that it works for me.
