You know, @missy1, the part of me that is fascinated with doll houses and tiny houses, likes toying with this idea.  Even though for me it would not be remotely practical.  I'd have to have about 10 tubes all linked, instead of only 2.  Plus, the curved walls make me uneasy, for some reason-- and b/c of them, there is very little floor space...

The pictures of the tubes at the Daily Mail all stacked together in a huge complex in the city have a wonderful, futuristic feeling to them.   Perhaps they will be a good option in overcrowded metropolises...

I think this is amazing.  This type of housing is less expensive to build and maintain and could help solve the homeless problem in cities all over the world.

There is no practical reason people need to live in such big spaces in areas where there is little real estate to build.

It seems China is a leader in producing solutions for housing problems.  I like this idea a lot.
