I also asked this in the Kitchen forum, but, with people coming and going due to the changes, I thought I'd try my luck here as well. Here is my question:
I am seriously looking at a Whirlpool 36" wide 4 door. Does anyone have experience with one? As the sale ends within a week, I'd be very appreciative of any input. Thanks in advance. --Mrs. G.

I have no review or suggstion, but wanted to mention that I was browsing in Best Buy recently and was looking at a very similar frig.
I think it was an LG and was $2800! I almost fainted at the price! It was fancy and had LED lights inside.
They even had one that had a screen above the ice maker where you could connect to the Internet, email, watch movies. WOW! That one was even more $$$$.
I say go for the most basic model that meets your needs. I would have a hard time paying 3K for a frig! I have a side by side Whirlpool that is still going strong.

That is over the top, for sure, and not what I'm looking for. The frig I am serious about is in that price range, but has beau coups organizational features. It's because of the investment that I ask for real-life experiences.

Yes, it had an actual video screen above the fancy ice makeer.
It is connected to WiFi and you can pull up recipes, watch movies, etc. I have not looked at appliances in awhile and was shocked to see this on a frig.
I asked the salesman what happens if the video screen malfunctions, and he said is is separate from the frig. It is connected to the front....don't know how they can work on it if it messes up.
Anyone remember the washing machines in Sears that had a clear front and showed poker chips floating around to demonstrate the agigator? Now THAT was a machine!

I didn't have a lot of money to buy a new fridge when I got one, so I ended up at a local shop that repairs and sells used ones that people go for newer ones. I have an older Kenmore with ice and water in the door with a crushed ice function and light to see your cup at night. It is a side by side, but because it is older, it will run longer than newer ones that are meant to only last 5 years or less. My first one is the regular one that came with the house in 98'. I replaced it with the Kenmore side by side in 2010. It is still running great 5 years later and was $500, so no big deal there.

I ordered the refrigerator Monday. It will be delivered in a few weeks. Sure hope it works well for us.

The 'frig was delivered this morning. It's gorgeous.
With all the organizational features it gives, I really think it's going to save me grocery money. I mean, I can actually see everything now -- nothing needs to be shoved to the back to become a science experiment.

What a gorgeous refrigerator, I love those produce drawers. Lovely choice, congratulations and enjoy!

Thanks, Mtc. I'm like a kid with a new toy -- but admit to having to open drawers and doors all over while fixing dinner, just trying to figure out where I put what.
