I use a lot of my plastic bags in my laundry room, and I use them for quite a few years.  When I hang a top or sweater to dry, instead of putting it through a whole dryer cycle, I pad the shoulders, so I don't get hanger bumps.

 

I also use them for garbage.  If I can't get them, I'll just have to resort to buying trash bags.
