Re: Recommendations on Vacuums

I have finally found a vacuum that has stood the test of time. It is my Windtunnel MAX Paws Hoover.

I have gone through Dyson (Hated it - (now use it to vacuum leaves around the outside of the front door), Eureka Hepa ( put in the attic after a few months )

Had 2 collies and needed a vacuum that could handle their fur AND all the dirt etc that the paws and shoes dragged in from walks in the park everyday.

My Hoover has done an excellent job for more than 12 years. The dogs are sadly gone but the walks in the park aren't. So dirt often in tracked in the house. The Hoover traps all and any dirt. I am shocked how much dirt it collects every time I vacuum. And when I had the dogs it was every day or every other day.

I am so glad I bought it. It is well worth it.

Re: Recommendations on Vacuums

Thank you for your suggestions.

I'm in an apartment right now and have carpet, so I have to consider that.  And I have a small Eureka that is good for the kitchen and bathroom floors.

I want to move away from bags but don't think I want a stick version.

My homework is to start googling your suggestions. Woman Wink

Thanks again!

Re: Recommendations on Vacuums

I swear by my Dyson vacuum. Love the cordless! I had a Eureka canister vacuum for many, many years and finally it was too heavy to push. I always have German Shepherd dogs and they shed. The Dyson will pull up their fur from the carpet. Easy tswitch attachements and rinse out the filter. Lasts for years.
