Recommendations for a Washing Machine

We are moving at the end of the month and will need a washer/dryer. We looked at a "high efficiency" washer that had no agitator which is completely new to us.

We looked at several brands, most being GE and Whirlpool but the salesperson indicated that she had customers report that GE can be noisier than others, for whatever reason. This is in no way putting down GE brand, but this is what said some of her customers reported to her after purchasing.

Her advice was to stick with the Whirlpool without the agitator and this would be a water saver.

If anyone has any recommendations for a washer or dryer (we need a gas dryer), I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
