I just want to share LVP flooring should be cleaned with nothing more than lightly damp microfiber style mop.

I had them installed and my contractor told me never use steam mop on them.  I don't recall my brand although I think it's Pergo and manufacturer recommended same.

You may want to check the manufacturers cleaning guidelines.

I use a Bissell steamer on my kitchen floor which is porcelain tile (the type which looks like wood).

In a previous home I had laminate flooring in the kitchen.  Used a Bissell steamer on it with no problems.  I now have bamboo flooring in the kitchen and am afraid to use a steamer on it.  I sure do miss a steamer and if I ever replaced the flooring I would want a material that I could use a steamer on.

Thanks for all the good advice.

I'm so glad I didn't order without checking with my forum friends first!

I wound up ordering a no-frills O'Cedar mop and wringer bucket.

be very careful that the mop is just "damp" water seeping in the seams of the flooring will cause: mold, mildew & buckling of the floors. (My neighbor had this happen flooring needed replacing).

I dry mop mine every week and 1x/month will use my damp microfiber cloth.

Of course, it's only two of us and no pets.
