The books do not look as if they've ever been read.

And the chairs don't look as if they would welcome a reader.

The upholstered table/ottoman doesn't welcome the use of books to be spread out and looked at.  Unless one wants to lift the tray each time.

Other than that, it is a pretty picture.

The chairs dont look comfortable for reading....and Im not overly fond of some of the decor accessories either....

But love the bookshelves....would have preferred some comfy chairs and a throw....

Works for me except I would prefer either a nice stuffed rocker or comfy loveseat rather than 2 chairs....

I like the pretty chairs.

The rest, not so much.

It's pretty and I think the chairs look comfortable.  But I have to put my feet up!

Reminds me of the color palette in my parents' home library with the dark wood, leather bound books, and blue fabrics and porcelain.  Last summer my dad wanted more blue and white flower pots similar to the ones in the OP's photo, and I went to several places looking for some that could go outdoors, but couldn't find any.  They have a wall of French doors in the library leading to a patio and he plans to put the pots out there on the patio.  He wants some larger blue/white pots with drainage holes in the bottom.  Everything I saw was terra cotta, plastic/foam, or meant for indoors with no drainage holes.  Please let me know if any of you know where I can find some to buy for this year.

@wildcat fan I thought my favorite place (Frontgate) would pop up automatically when I did a google search of blue and white outdoor planters with drainage holes.

But Wayfair did!

And you could also get a blue and white garden seat.  They are sturdy and great for outdoors.  I have a chartreuse one that I love.

That looks so nice when people extend the colors from the inside to the out of doors.  Many times people don't think and you look out a window or door and it's such a mish mash of opposites.

I get your drift @GingerPeach... but let's face it, they don't style pictures for magazines to not look pretty...

As for the books, no idea whether or not they've been read. For me, impossible to tell from the picture
