I have a feeling that winter is hanging around to give me time to finish my quilt.  So I am quilting despite the wish to be gardening.  Still cold here, near freezing every day and below at night.  We expect 15 cm of snow Monday into Tuesday.

So, I put a drive on to finish my quilt.

Although it is not ironed, here is an idea of what it will look like.  Borders uneven.  I have to quilt the turquoise borders throughout the quilt, even up the real borders and sew them.  Should be done by end of next week.

It is a throw for my sister in law to take to the cottage.  Pinch out for details.  LM

Oh my gosh @Lilysmom , that is absolutely beautiful.  You are very talented.  I still have the quilt (not in great shape) that my grandmother made me years and years ago.  Your SIL is going to love it.

@Lilysmom

LOVE this!

I live on an island near the beach and my home is all coastal/beach theme, plus I have tropical fish tanks and baskets of shells I've collected sitting around.

This would be PEFECT for my home! (hint-hint, LOL!)

Thank you for the kind words.  The quilt is a surprise for my SIL.  I do one each year.  It is a hobby that I really enjoy.  I learn something new each time I do one.  I park myself in the den with the wood stove and quilt away.  It helps pass our six months of cold weather.

I hate putting the quilt together (the first task) and I had doing the borders (the last task), the rest I enjoy. I will post when it is done so you can see the finished product.

Here’s hoping winter’s last storm is tomorrow!  LM

That is so lovely and makes me want to take a trip to the shore!!!!!  I can see how much work goes into a quilt and am impressed!  The colors are so pretty and the entire theme of the quilt outstanding!   Great work!
