@PINKdogWOOD , my maternal grandmother raised a family during the depression.  She was a tailor.  She made men's suits.  I always remember my mother saying when she was growing up she always wanted a dress from the catalog.  My grandmother made all their clothes.  Funny what you wish for isn't it?  My grandmother was very special to me.  I look like her side of the family.  LM

@Lilysmom   I hear you, that's what our G'Parents or many of them did when they lived. We were in awe the quilts and stitchery Grandmom did. She finished one and moved right into another one.
