@Lilysmom    Absolutely lovely.  I like the cloud border.  I think you should write a little note that says "here is my gift to you of sea and sky" when you present it.

You did an excellent job - your quilt is so lovely!  I do like the cloud print accent, as well.  Don’t question your good taste.

Thanks everyone.  I had to laugh at @nana59  wondering how many stitches were in the quilt.  I wonder how many stitches I have sewn in my 25 years of quilting!  Now that would be a big number.

My SIL's birthday is some time off so I will give it to her to start the beach season.

Snow flurries here in Nova Scotia and a wet weekend ahead.  At least the snow on the ground is gone.  Happy Spring!  LM

@Lilysmom  The quilt is beautiful.  I like the cloud border, but it really is not noticeable to me because I see ocean when I look at the quilt.  You have so much patience, and talent, to do something like this.

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!

@Lilysmom   How lovely is this piece of artwork! Love the colors, LOVE the seahorses! Your new quilt is lovely on your bed too, reminds me a lot of the bed frame I have of my G'Parents Dad's side.

You're very talented. I know what it takes to do quilting. My G'Mom (Dad's mother) did quilting almost for a living making quiltes for others including one for each of her 6 granddaughters.
