How was anyone supposed to KNOW the correct answer?

 

These friends came to her home for a get together. No one knew in advance what she wanted to hear, there was no cheat sheet.

 

She asked, ‘What color do you think this is?’ Or something similar.

How would they have known what answer she wanted to hear?

 

If she had asked, ‘Do you like this new color?’ 

Of course people would have politely said, ‘Yes, Great, Really Nice’, or something similar.
