Question concerning the recent BL & HR lanterns

Doesn't it seem from the pics that BL & HR are now using the CI resin or wax candle shells in their lanterns ... just with a different battery compartment & LED in bulb form ... or is it just me? Has anyone gotten to check them out 1st-hand? Whatever they are doing, the candles are certainly showing a physical improvement.
