Received the recent TSV today.  Do those of you that already have My Pillow, do you use a "pillow protecter" over it before you put it  in the pillow case?  I was wondering if this would keep it from "forming" the way they say it does.  This is my second try with My Pillow so hope I lke it.

Re: Question about "My Pillow"

Yes I use a pillow protector. My daughter does too. If I didn't I would be washing them all the time.

Re: Question about "My Pillow"

I just always believe a pillow needs a protector first, before the pillow case.

It helps protect the pillow (although these are washable, just washed one yesterday and boy do they fatten back up wonderfully when dried!), makes for a more finished look and feel to the bed.

A protector, if it is the correct size for the pillow, does not prevent the pillow from 'working' the way it is supposed to.

If this is your first, give it some time and be sure to put it in the dryer first. If you feel it is getting flat and sloppy over time, wash and dry it, and it is like new again.

Hope you enjoy it.

And be sure you punch it in when you lay down.  I believe those that don't like them think they are like a regular pillow where you just lay your head down -- NO, stuff it into where you need the support!  For me it is the neck/shoulder and I LOVE them!!

ETA -- I didn't respond to the question, I do not use a pillow protector just my regular pillow case and wash the pillow regularly.

Re: Question about "My Pillow"

I just use my regular pillowcase s on ours because I can wash this pillow as often as I want.  I started with one set and slowly am replacing all the pillows in the bedrooms with the My Pillows. Works great for all of our needs.

Re: Question about "My Pillow"

@Daysdee   I actually need to buy a couple of protectors but I am waiting for the January white sale.  As long as the protector is not extremely tight, everything should be okay.  I do get a very deep sleep with My Pillow.  I did have to order the Firm pillows the last time I ordered.  The soft pillow was too soft for me.  Hope you enjoy your pillows.  Cat Very Happy

Re: Question about "My Pillow"

I grew up always having a pillow protector on my pillow and it's something I continue to do today.
