Re: Question about dryer balls...

I have white wool dryer balls from Amazon and LOVE them! I have the Smart Sheep 3 pack.

I used to use the fancy (rubber?) ones but they left a smell on the clothes that I didn't like at all.

Re: Question about dryer balls...

No Fabric Softener for me, especially not dryer sheets, which I believe coat the inside of your dryer. I used to use the liquid FS in my washer but found it was really just a waste of money for me. As robomo said, sometimes I have a little static, but I shake it out and it's good.

I use tennis balls only when I wash my northern nights down blanket. But I dry it on low and have never smelled anything funny from it.

A good old fashioned tennis ball when you dry your pillows after washing them. They come out nice, clean and fluffy.

Re: Question about dryer balls...

I love those things. I have a lot of them in the dryer, flopping everywhere.

I think they save money. I don't use dryer sheets very often because I read where they make towels less absorbant and I use those fiber washrags at night. They say not to use fabric softner.

I've given them to my daughters. One funny thing about them though.

Hummmm??? OK, I'll admit. I have my sheets and pillowcases pressed at the cleaners. I like them to not have wrinkles. But, it's a joke with my laundry because I give them the sheets and pillowcases and often they have some of those dryer balls wrapped up in them. I wash the sheets myself and just have them ironed. I only like my laundry soap. In fact my laundry owner asked me what I use, so I bought her a huge bottle of it. It's just Arm and Hammer but I like it and now she does.

I've gotten back as many as 3 balls from her!

Re: Question about dryer balls...

I purchased the rubber balls, and they did nothing for my laundry. I threw the away.
