Do any of you use the illuma lid metal toppers on your 2 wick candles - like Crossroads, Goose Creek or Kringle?? I always have and never had a problem. I like the way they control the flame but I heard this is a fire hazzard?? Any thoughts on this?? I trim the wicks all the time. thanks

Re: Question -Candle Lovers??

I don't use the metal toppers but I do use the glass rings that fit lower on the candles. I think the best thing to do (and you do it) is to keep the wicks trimmed. (regardless of the side and type of the candle)

I would think that if you used the metal topper and did not trim the wick there might be a problem with the liquid wax dripping down the metal topper side. This is where the fire hazard would happen. (I would think)

Re: Question -Candle Lovers??

I have a flat metal candle topper that works pretty well. I still trim my wicks though.
