Is anyone allergic to candles? I was burning my Wal Mart Pumpkin Spice candle Saturday. My little 3 year old granddaughter came over to stay for awhile with me. Within 5 minutes of her coming into the house she had broken out in a terrible rash all over her body. The only thing different was the burning candle.
I can't imagine anyone having such a terrible reaction to a candle, but, she is highly allergic to many external irritants. Can't use soap, washing powders have to be the free and clear kind, no kind of creams or lotions with any perfumes.
I had to give her Benadryl and an oatmeal bath to at least stop the itching. Of course, I was horrified, but then I started thinking it could have been the candle.
Just wondered if anyone has ever heard of, or, experienced such a reaction.
