As part of my quest for the "better" cat litter--I won't say perfect cause I am doubtful it will ever exist--today I bought a box of Arm & Hammer Clump & Seal. Box clean out is this week so I will give it a whirl and report back to interested cat lovers.

Has anyone tried it already?

Also bought some more of the World's Greatest Cat Litter; going to try it again. I don't remember much about it from my last trial, think it tracked pretty badly but will try again.

My furry buddy passed away about 15 months ago, so I no longer have a kitty around. However, over the years I've had several cats & tried several different kinds of litter. The one we liked best, my last buddy & I, was Feline Pine. No dust & environment-friendly.

That's what I was going to say! Love it. Get it at Kroger. I found the clumping litter getting in the little corners of my bathroom, where the box was housed...and if that stuff gets wet, it's like cement!! Pine is so much cleaner.

Anyone using open top boxes? I'm very interested. Two of my babies are 20+ (one is 25) lbs, think the open top would work for larger cats?

Remember SwheatScoop...made from wheat? I tried it once. When I came home from work, there were about a thousand ants eating it up!

I've used Yesterday's News also...made from old newspaper. I really liked it, but it is ultra pricey.

Thanks for the picture. I don't know if my two cats would go for one of those. They like getting into empty cardboard boxes and paper sacks for fun, so they might try it. Right now they have an igloo and like it. They also go out in the backyard sometimes with the dogs and I've stepped in some potty holes a couple of times. I've not had time lately, but I've helped out with some "dirty work" at a couple of shelters that say to use plain clay litter. The Walmart brand is not too dusty and absorbs well but it might not suit everyone. I've tried many brands. Don't like scented. Let us know how the A&H Clump and Seal works. OMG! You've got some big kitties!

Feline pine - if you have a Tractor Supply store, the equine bedding is the same thing except that it's $5 for a 40 lbs bag. (3 indoor cat household). Scoop solids and use the rest as mulch
