Re: QVC selling outdated Suze Orman kits that crash computers

In the early 1990's we purchased our first computer, it was a HP. QVC had a really good buy then. It included everything. However,after a month it just quit working. Per instructions I called the number they had . QVC sent an IT person to my home!! No kidding, They came to my home, determined it was the hard drive. They fixed it, and the computer lasted forever. We wanted to update and bought a DELL from QVC, what a piece of junk. We gave the HP to our adult daughter. She updated a few things, and she used it for another 4 years!! good price. Their computers and ipads, iPods, etc are sold at very high prices, and usually outdated. They sell them because of easy pay. If they didn't have easy pay they would be out of the computer business. After the DELL episode, buying computers at QVC just wasn't a good deal anymore for us. They used to be very competitively priced, and wonderful had computers. Now they are the same old, same old. They sort of fell behind, like everything else...they never get anything new or inventive anymore at a competitive price, JMHO

I hope you don't mind that I re-posted this on the Electronics Forum. I have one of Suze's systems I bought a couple of years ago and unfortunately, never installed it. This has made me unsure whether or not it will work on my computer, which is actually a five year old Dell. It might well be fine, but I'm not a "techie", so I posted it on the other forum because there are a lot of really knowledgeable people there who can be very helpful.

Thanks for posting it, because I wouldn't want my computer to crash. I don't need the hassle and expense of buying another one right now. Just hope you don't mind that I did that. {#emotions_dlg.blush}

thank, that was a great move.
