I ordered 3 items from as is on Friday. One was $3, the others regular shipping. I noticed they were all showing shipped Saturday morning. I've never had anything from as is ship that quick. After seeing a couple posts about reduced shipping, it made sense. I didn't bother calling and asking for an adjustment.

I understand your frustration, but to return the items seems a bit much. If you want the items you ordered, you will be the loser as QVC will just re-sell them.

Of course if we knew WHEN they were running these promotions we might be more inclined to take advantage of them... Sometimes, we don't even know when they're actually happening... QVC isn't always precisely transparent about things of this nature.

What's a shame is the promo shipping charges are what other sites charge all the time if they even charge for it at all.

If you like the products sold by companies that offer free shipping, why do you buy anything from QVC? I wouldn't - but I like what I buy here.

I never said anything about buying products from other companies that offer free shipping. My argument is that QVC could have adjusted the shipping charges especially since they never advertised the lower shipping 5 days later. So just because you like merchandise from a particular business means you don't have a right to right something if you feel you've been wronged ?

That's what I thought but clearly I thought wrong. And they never advertised the free shipping.

I ordered a necklace from HSN a couple of years ago, with shipping and handling of about $6.00. The following week free shipping was offered on the same necklace. They told me that they did not adjust shipping charges.

I had an e-mail in my mailbox this morning from QVC customer service about this very thing. It sounds like they are reducing shipping charges and there was a breakdown (i.e. $3.00 flat for items apparel, jewelry and beauty, etc). Message says practice goes into effect today, February 2, 2015 and says nothing about it being a promotional program. I kind of thought it was their effort to stay more competetive with other on-line retailers as their shipping/handling is so high here on the Q. I know myself, I don't purchase nearly as much as I used to because of that very issue. Oh and BTW, they will no longer offer reduced shipping if you are buying more than one of a specific item, which I would be fine with this, seeing that it would be $3.00 for each. HTH. Cheryl -
