QVC Model Monica's Girlbuild Company

Just thought this was a nice update story about one of QVC's longtime models, Monica.  She started her own construction & interior design company, Girlbuild, a few years ago.

She has also established a partnership with Sherwin Williams as well.  Nice job Monica!

She still models, but very infrequently.  I last saw her last month on QVC, for one day.

This is from her FB page:

"I am so honored to be highlighted on @swdesignpros profile again!

Thank you for the continued support @swdesignpros and for helping me inspire and empower other women to #girlbuild their lives.
Thanks to this partnership with @sherwinwilliams and @girlbuild you are able to use colors personally curated by me! Perfect for your next home project."

@Caaareful Shopper,

That is so great! I am glad to read this. She was one of the models I remeber so much when I did watch QVC a lot-thanks for posting this That is nice to read about her.

I wondered what happened to her.  Thought she and Katia were QVC's best models.  Always looking classy.

Wishing the best with her new endeavors.

Way to go Monica!  Good to see her success.  Many of the old time Q models are gone.  Did someone mention Kate went to work for Lisa R?

These photos are on her facebook. Monica and her husband.

Thank you to my husband for all his love and support. This man does so much behind the scenes that make my designs and dreams possible. I certainly couldn't do what I do without him!

Re: QVC Model Monica's Girlbuild Company

Thank you for this thread @Caaareful Shopper ! It's nice to know how the models are doing. Some will say something like, "They're not your personal friends." I know that. We all know that. But when you see someone a lot on your screen, you become sort of familiar with them. You can't help care about them if you care about others.

Monica looks happy. She's talented, as are all of the models! It's good to know she is following her dream!   Smiley Happy

You Go Girl !!  I have often wondered what happened to Monica and I assumed with the pandemic she was laid off along with others. Thanks OP for the update !

Found this.. MUST-WATCH interview

Youtube: Monica Miraglilo on 'Be the Solution'

Live with Host, Maria Quattrone

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZodySU-mRWg

Many people know Monica as a model, a wife, a mother of two, a wannabe singer, and an extraordinary cook, but very few know Monica the designer.

For years she has found joy in bringing life to anything with a pulse, but now she brings life to diamonds in the rough.

Monica and her husband have started a venture of flipping houses and throughout the transformation she is able to apply her signature design touch and create a unique style for each and every home they transform.

For years she has found joy in taking run down spaces that need a lot of attention and transforming them into eclectic works of art and finding ways to do it affordably on a shoestring budget.

Salvaging and restoring some of the existing structure and characteristics of the home, adding recycled or repurposed elements in unexpected ways and adding new modern touches to create one of a kind interiors that you are sure to love.

So when you walk through the door for the first time you can say this is it. This our home. And this is style with Monica!

Recently, Monica has ventured into a new stage of her life and has felt that it’s time to give back! Within the last two years she’s been working day and night on developing a mission that will become a source for women to become empowered in whatever they want to do!

In the building and developing industry it is known that men have dominated the business and they do it very well, but the reality is women are builders too. We build families, we build relationships and we build homes.

So with this thought in mind, Monica created Girlbuild an empowering initiative to support, and educate women as builders by providing the implemental tools they will need for success.

Be it the tedious footnotes for starting a business or the vast skill set needed for designing a home. Girlbuild is the premiere solution for women today!
