I hope there are some carpenters out here. I hired a guy to change my rotting wood trim to vinyl and he is working on the first window. There are holes where he has pulled off the old trim and says the trim only comes in one length. The trim is not long enough to cover the sides so it will be in several pieces which don't look good. Is that true, can he buy longer lengths and trim it? He doesn't have a power saw and I don't have a enough width on the bottom trim to cover up the wood he took off. I think he should caulk the holes before he puts the trim up.
I have 8 windows to go and don't now whether to fire him or not after he does the one window? It looks bad so far and he didn't cover the holes when he left Friday or put plastic over the windows. I don't know what to do. Any advice?
