I have some mini Santa caps that I want to use on some large Jim Shore cats, assume his pieces are resin, and I want to know what I could use to stick them on without hurting the finish. I though of double sided tape but it may not be strong enough to adhere to the cloth.

Maybe strips of velcro that you cut to size and can stick on. The part that goes on the hat might not stick, but I think it's the figurines you aren't wanting to harm, so you could probably glue the velcro to the hat to make sure it stays in place.

@susielong Thank you, if the glu dot doesn't work, I will try this. ![]()

Glue or staple(under the white band) a thin strip of elastic or a sturdy rubber band to the hat.
This way you can position the hats in cute and jaunty different ways![]()
edit to add: use a red rubber band or color the elastic with a marker to match.

I would think a few of those 3M strips would be enough to do it.

@itsmetoo Thank you, now why didn't I think of that. I have those as I used to be an avid scrapbooker, but havn't had time for a few years.
And that's exactly why I have them! Leftovers from when I used to scrapbook. They sure come in handy for a lot of other things though! Hope they will work for you in this situation.

@itsmetoo Thank you, I hope so to. I will let you know. It will be tricky due to the ears, lol. I am too lazy to remove them from the top of my hutch shelf which is almost eight feet tall, for Christmas, so got the idea of getting caps, hope they fit, and putting wreaths around their necks so they will fit into the decor. ![]()
