I would think a few of those 3M strips would be enough to do it.

@Tigriss  I just looked them up, never heard of them before, I live in a cave, lol.  Thank you, I will keep these in mind.

It's a bit more work, but could you cut slits in the hats so their ears poke through? The hat would stay on and it would look really cute and finished.

How about a glue dot?  I use those for a lot of things.

@itsmetoo  Thank you, now why didn't I think of that. I have those as I used to be an avid scrapbooker, but havn't had time for a few years.

@mousiegirl

And that's exactly why I have them! Leftovers from when I used to scrapbook.  They sure come in handy for a lot of other things though!  Hope they will work for you in this situation.

@itsmetoo  Thank you, I hope so to.  I will let you know.  It will be tricky due to the ears, lol.  I am too lazy to remove them from the top of my hutch shelf which is almost eight feet tall, for Christmas, so got the idea of getting caps, hope they fit, and putting wreaths around their necks so they will fit into the decor. @mousiegirl

We used to have a big Canadian goose standing (carved from wood) on the hearth of our very large fireplace.  At Christmas time I would also put a Santa hat on him.  But it was easy because he didn't have ears to work around!  Good luck!  I hope you'll post a picture of him when you are done.

Museum glue?  Comes off, no marks.

Gotta’ send pics.
