Hi All!

Based on recommendations here I have become very intetrested in Pure Integrity Candles.  I have been perusing their site to read about scents and weigh my choices before placing my order.  I'm quite certain that when I last visited their site one week ago today the price of the largest candle was $23.99.  Today when I returned to finalize and place my order, the price of the largest candle is $27.99.  Was there really a $4.00 increase in one week or am I crazy?  Anyone who has placed an order recently remember what they spent for the largest size candle?  For some reason I felt ok spending $24 for a great candle, but spending $28 seems too much for me.

This company has been discussed several times here on these boards.  About 6 months ago, after seeing so many glowing reviews, I sent an email to this company.  I was disappointed that after the cost of shipping and tax, a six-pack of melts cost over $13.  This is not like Yankee Candle where you can go to various stores and smell the candles or get a scratch and sniff catalog in the mail.  I suggested that they either provide a sampler pack of melts or tealights that mix various similar types of scent in one pack (i.e. a fruit pack, a floral pack, a holiday pack, etc.), but I never heard back from them.  Certainly they are allowed to charge whatever they want for their product, but I won't invest in a candle I've never smelled before.  The cost and risk is too high.

I live near their factory and have had the opportunity to sample them in person.

I used to love Yankee Candles - but after PI - I never bought another Yankee Candle again. They are fantastic and worth every penny, IMO.

I'm sure they're great, @terrier3, and I'm glad you had the opportunity to smell them in person before blindly making a purchase online.

@terrier3    I took your advice in another thread on PI candles several months ago and purchased one and absolutely love it.  I got the Fruit Slices candle.

These are the best candles. I have been purchasing them through the mail for 8 years or so. Clean, even burn and they smell wonderful. I highly recommend Victorian Christmas for the Holidays. They do send tea light samples with your order. I have not purchased any other brand since purchasing Pure Integrity. I am burning Pumpkin Pie right now.

These are also my favorite candles, however I agree that they are pricey! I took a chance after reading such glowing reviews here, and I am glad that I did, but I understand PeterDM saying they are pricey!!!!I usually only order twice a year from them-they rarely have sales or coupons either.....Maybe they get enough business without them, but it would be nice to see once in a while!!!!!!
