So I order 4 of the Teddy Bear Wreaths back during Christmas in July. Delivery week was 12/1. I did get a notice that one of the four shipped out on Monday. The other 3 have been "In Process" since 11/17. So I called and was told that estimated delivery on the other 3 wreaths is 12/23!?
What good does that do when I'm sending seasonal gifts to family for the holiday season...?
I requested cancellation of the other 3 wreathes but won't get confirmation on them for at least 48 hours.
I've never had this happen before with advanced sales that ship a specific week for Christmas gift giving. I'm grumpy about it and I will be shopping ProFlowers once the cancellations are confirmed. This isn't earth shattering, but it is frustrating when you order something 5 months out and the delivery date cannot be honored.
And don't even get me started on the 2 food items I ordered for specific ship weeks that went from "Advanced Sales" to "Contact CS".
Just needed to vent a little and see if anyone else is experiencing similar problems.

I would be a little more than "grumpy". If they can't cancel your orders, I would insist on a full refund.

That's terrible. You advance-ordered five months ago and they still can't ship on-time? And it's three weeks late, not just a little late. I wonder what the problem is.

Yes,this has happened before. That is why I no longer order them

Wow, that is some very poor planning on their end. I would demand full refund also. So sorry you are having this issue.

I just cancelled an advance order, and it showed up immediately. I wonder why you were told forty-eight hours, strange.

How frustrating! I had similar luck with other vendors. The delivery date for a wreath I ordered from Grandin Road kept getting pushed back until it reached a point that I wouldn't have it in time to use it this year, so I cancelled it. Three gold glass trees that I ordered from Horchow were cancelled by Horchow because they couldn't deliver them by Christmas. It's disappointing when you count on having an item and it ends up being unavailable. I guess that's an argument in support of shopping locally when you can.

I got the Valerie wreaths for years to put outside on the windows of my home, the larger one for the center of the bay window and a couple sets of the little guys for the other windows. They were always well made and smelled SO good. The last couple of years I have ordered them, they have rarely arrived in the week that I asked for them to ship, usually they end up coming the week after. I gave up this year and just bought the artificial wreaths to use instead. They're cheaper and I don't have to worry about them arriving on time.

I'm so sorry to hear this. We used to get Valerie's wreaths but haven't done so in several years now. They were really great quality, and always arrived as ordered. Perhaps they are just taking too many orders now.
I know companies have problems that are unforeseen and cannot meet orders, like has just happened with the Harry London fire that has caused them to not be able to fill orders. Customers will understand if they are contacted and given good reason, and will move on to something else. The biggest problem is when the company has a problem and doesn't keep customers fully informed as to what is or even what might be occurring. As a paying an loyal customer, you have a right to be informed in as timely a manner as the incident allows, and with some measure of detail as to what went wrong.

I, too, had a problem with a live wreath that I ordered during Christmas in July. I had ordered the one with two little red birds on it, I forget the name. It was listed as advance sale, which seemed appropriate since I didn't expect to receive it for months. I had requested shipping the week of Nov. 17th. When it still hadn't arrived on the 25th, I checked the status and it was now listed as waitlist. I never received any sort of notice, I was just expecting it to ship. So when I saw that I immediately called customer service and got a very snippy rep who tried to "explain" to me what waitlist meant. I said I was fully aware of what it meant, and annoyed that I hadn't been notified of the change in status. She said I should "wait a bit", it may still show up!! I said it was already over a week when it was supposed to ship, and I had no intention of waiting any longer, and told her to cancel the order. Her entire demeanor changed and she tried to sweetly say that there it was still a chance it would come, and I should be patient. I said NO and told her again to cancel the order. I immediately went to LLBean, ordered a wreath from them, paid no shipping charges and received it in two days. Learned my lesson......
