Privacy helper, especially for apartment dwellers

[ Edited ]
For increased privacy, I just got the following from Amazon:
Legacy Decor 3-Panel Solid Wood Screen/Room Divider

Room Divider 3 Panel Solid Wood Blue Color

It's available in 'Blue', 'Honey', 'Green', and 'Red' - at Amazon, Walmart.com, and LegacyDecor.com.

It arrives flat and folded, about 15 pounds, and fully assembled.

It can also be used as a backdrop for remote meetings etc, to separate or restrict areas of a room, and to create a door for doorless rooms - you can even add casters to the bottom.

I set mine up to block the view from my apartment's only door; my living room is straight on and only a few feet away.

HTH anyone interested.

Looks like a good solution and I like the idea that it comes in different colors.

My room divider is from Japan - a souvenir from my mother's several trips there.  Mine separates the kitchen from the dining room.  Sort of looks like this one from Amazon.....

I have one in black wrought iron that I got at Hobby Lobby years ago.  It has natural canvas panels which could easily be changed to any fabric by a clever sewer.  I use it by the front door to block the view of the living room.

Great idea to put it on casters. I wonder if it could be "locked" flat. I once knew a single mom with a boy and girl. She took the smaller bedroom of their home and the kids shared a 15 x16 master bedroom. Her dad made a divider to offer more privacy and it helped make the area feel like two small rooms.

Saw a beautiful one that had an Asian  design  that had lacquer  black edges. It was large and beautiful . I wanted to buy it , despite being pricey but in my current home  there was no reason to justify the purchase.

@AuntG.  If it was flat without its natural "bends", it wouldn't stand up.

@AuntG

As far as locking the hinges so that it permanently remains flat, you can ask the manufacturer at info@legacydecor.com.

Screens always look so nice and I am drawn to them.

But I just know I would bump it, knock it down, trip on it and die.  Shucks,  I get black eyes from doors.
