@MsLomo wrote:So pretty and restful.
Edited to add: It looks like the china pattern is Franconia - K & A - Krautheim - NORINA - Selb Bavaria Germany, but I'm not positive.
@MsLomo I agree. It's a very serene room, I think some of that is probably owning to the pale green wall color... I have no idea on the china pattern. I don't think it was stated in the article, but it is quite pretty... Enlarging the picture tells me the china on the wall shelf is banded in a green similar to the wall color... I especially love the silver biscuit box on the table...

This room truly brings back memories of when we used to visit my MIL's home. The only real difference would be that the walls were wedgewood blue (an idea she got from visiting Colonial Williamsburg). The chandelier was Waterford but much of the room looked the same. Pretty....

I do really like it.....I love the clock and the table especially, I would probably change the chandelier, but such a pretty room......The table setting is nice too....

Pretty picture, but not in my comfort zone.

It is pretty and cheerful, although more strictly formal than I'd like to live. Perfect for the right person though. I could see Bette Davis having fresh waffles and hot coffee from a silver urn in that room (in "Dark Victory", before she married George Brent.) Of course it'd have french doors overlooking the dreamy gardens...
I love the combo of soft green walls and that sky blue ceiling-- a very traditional, romantic look.

Very nice way to lighten up the heavy dark, traditional table & chairs and grandfather clock and make the room look fresher.
I would further edit by removing the brass barometer on the wall and the tureen on the table. I would also like for the chandelier to hang lower and have white shades. These look like a mint color, although it may be a reflection from the wall color and light.
Love the mouldings and the way the china is displayed.

It’s too fussy for my taste though it’s very beautiful

It's pretty, but I'd make a few changes. I like the dark wood, but would replace what looks to me to be Federal era furniture with Chippendale.
I like the chandelier except for the time when it needs cleaned.
I love the architecture of the room, the woodwork. The green walls are nice, but would use off white.
I don't like the flowered dinnerware. I see Royal Crown Derby's Old Imari pattern there or something similar more affordable.
Also an oriental lamp instead of the gold one on the chest.
Can't see the rug well, but I'd use a Persian rug to brighten up the room. I like what looks like dark hardwood floors.
