Re: Pretty and Different Look for a Bedroom...

I do like this but agree with those who are not sure about the headboard.

I too would first remove the flower power wall hangings and then see if I liked the headboard.

I would also replace or paint the night stand but the colors and everything else is fine with me.

It's a pretty, calm, and soothing bedroom. I dislike bedrooms done in bright colors.

Re: Pretty and Different Look for a Bedroom...

I don't like the headboard or flowers hanging above it. The rest is ok, although, I'd prefer bit more color. I like the window and window seat, but the entire window must be covered for me to feel comfortable sleeping there.

@stevieb  I like everything but the headboard and the flowers above it. Lovely and restful.

Funny how we notice different things ....  the first thing I noticed was the door in the center of the pic and I thought I hope that isn't the only closet in that room!  lol

@Tinkrbl44

That's what I had trouble with.  I can't even picture what would fit in there.

Hi @just bee  Yes, I believe it's a closet and suspect it's larger than it appears to be, though certainly not big. I also would bet there's a matching closet on the other side of the Palladium window. By the way. I think it's pretty too. It wouldn't be my ideal choice but that doesn't stop it from having appeal.

I agree with the choice many would make to take down the flowers ahove the headboard. Otherwise, I'd make no changes. Enlarging the photo reinforces my thinking that the room is quite pretty and soothing. Love the pillow fabrics, especially.

it's really pretty @stevieb I like the wrought iron bed and the green print pillows.  Calm & peaceful  - so unlike MY life! But I can dream.

@stevieb   Lovely bedroom and I love these soft colors.

I would get rid of those metal wallflowers above the headboard.  They clash with the rest of the room's elements.

Thank you @aroc3435 . Good to hear from you and appreciate your kind words. Like you, I am enjoying the muted colors and I, too, would delete the flowers above the headboard, which is ornate enough, making the flowers unnecessary!

Funny how people are so different. I love this.

I would change out the headboard (as already discussed) and take down the metal wall flower decorations, but everything else I'd keep and love!

I love the colors, very soothing.  I really like neutrals popped with calm blue green colors. I love the textured wallpaper and color. I love the bed linens and the beautiful printed pillows. The window seat wall sconces and curtains are lovely, very elegant.

Quoting myself, On second look the headboard may be

pretty, it's unique. Maybe it's just the metal flower wall decor that's throwing it off for me. I think all that is throwing off the focal point. I'd try just taking those flowers down, then see how it looks.

But, I do love this.

@GingerHead Those headboards gather dust and come upwrapped and are awful. I speak from experience! Woman Very Happy

The other thing I'll mention is that while I'm not usually a fan of grass cloth, I don't mind it here. I like wallpaper in general, but not grass cloth. Even here, I'd prefer a pretty beige paint choice, but the grass cloth works.
