Re: Pretty and Different Look for a Bedroom...

@stevieb  I like it too, especially the linen bed skirt and matching folded blanket.  The room looks cozy and comfortable.

I am not a fan of the headboard though.  The closet is a normal size for a bedroom in an older home.  By looking at the painted floor and the woodwork, and other room accessories, it is apparent that this bedroom is in an older home.

I could live there.  I like the charming window and the window seat.  I'll bet the rest of the home is appealing as well.

@stevieb.  We'll  have to disagree on this one.

LOL - I have to agree!

I love Victorian black cast iron, I have the old cast iron hall trees from that era, an old black iron tall gothic lamp that looks like it stepped out of a castle, a Tiffany Dragonfly lamp, and numerous candelabras.

My husband always has a fit, but I told him I must have had a previous life living in an old castle, and it's the only decor that makes me comfortable. LOL

I like the window and window seat.  Other than that, the room is a blah to me.  I need color around me.  Way too much while.

Funny how people are so different. I love this.

I would change out the headboard (as already discussed) and take down the metal wall flower decorations, but everything else I'd keep and love!

I love the colors, very soothing.  I really like neutrals popped with calm blue green colors. I love the textured wallpaper and color. I love the bed linens and the beautiful printed pillows. The window seat wall sconces and curtains are lovely, very elegant.

@stevieb I like the room itself.  Beautiful window and window seat.   To me tho, the way it's decorated it too fussy.  Not my vibe, I guess!  I'd happily spend the night as a guest tho.

Love the window seat. I'd say the door is to the closet. In older homes, a four foot closet was all you'd get.

Quoting myself, On second look the headboard may be

pretty, it's unique. Maybe it's just the metal flower wall decor that's throwing it off for me. I think all that is throwing off the focal point. I'd try just taking those flowers down, then see how it looks.

But, I do love this.
