Like the color and the chest--not the gold however. My first thought was what a nice bath vanity it would make.

I am not a fan of the color green in furniture but I have to say I like this dresser.  It somehow appeals to me.  However, as other posters have said, the bird wouldn't be my choice for decor.  Since the gold mirror is ornate, I would take away the bird and leave the dresser as is.

Wow.  I have a green chest almost identical to this one!  Bought it at a consignment store about 8 years ago.  Same color high/lows of green too.

I have a swirled, wrought iron gate that I had made into a sectioned mirror hanging over the chest.  Nothing gilded gold.

That chest is actually part of a very pretty and fresh looking living room in what is a lovely home featured recently in a local magazine. When seen all together, the infamous bird is actually appealing and while I don't recall what it is, there's significant history behind it. There's a semi-matching chest on the other side of the window and the room is done mostly in greens and creams. Very nice... I'll see if I can locate some more pictures to complete the story. Incidentally, the 'simple, pleasant dining room' is from the same home, which might be going up for sale if anyone's interested...
