I bought the one shown today, 4 shelves I believe.

Is it strong and safe to place in a childs room, worried about tipping or one of the castors giving way.

I read shelves like these do not have strong wheels, hence the less weight allowed if wheels are used.

Some reviews state owners replaced the given wheels with Origami Heavy duty wheels.

Anyone have these?

Thanks

Re: Pop It shelves

@skittles2  You should anchor it to the wall. Most tots I know are climbers. Also, you should check on the weight tolerance for each shelf to make sure it can withstand a climbing child. I guess it depends on the age of the child. It it's an older child, I guess it would be ok.

I wouldn't have any tall piece of furniture in a house with children that wasn't attached to the wall,  including chests of drawers, bookcases or these storage shelves.  They'll hold more than enough weight to support a child.

Thank you @PA Mom-mom @Kachina624

I learned with the first of four children years ago, they climb, jump, swing upon everything. My 5yr old climbed a 30ft treeCat SurprisedCat Surprised

I never say they wouldn't do whatever, ...because  out of the blue -they do.

Both your advice to anchor was extremely important, critical to get across to people whether they are parents, grandparents, sitters, etc., anyone who has children living with them or visiting.

I've always anchored items of certain height, weight, stability.

I've decided I'm not going to place in grandchildren's room. When I ordered it I felt it was too tall, I even wondered about the 3 shelf may be, as well.

I actually called CS to cancel 15 mins after ordering, they said the order was canceled. However, a few days later I checked my order status and saw they were prepared for shipping.

I called CS, they sent a stop shipment, of course if they do ship they said I should refuse shipment if I happen to be home, otherwise they'll have them picked up.

With the waiting period before possible delivery, I contemplated keeping them, that's why the post here... are they worth it, stability, durability, etc.

Thanks again!
