In honor of St. Patrick's Day, pick your Irish castle...

Ashford CastleA picturesque fountain sets amidst the garden, overlooked by the gray weather-worn stones of Ashford Castle.

Crom CastleA patchwork of verdant fields surrounds the venerable stone façade of Crom Castle.

Castle LeslieThe stately façade of Castle Leslie is constructed of gray limestone with red sandstone and terra-cotta details.

Adare Manor

Surrounded by pristine formal gardens, Adare Manor, a Gothic Revival gem, abounds with stately appeal. From medieval fortresses to grandiose gothic gems, Ireland’s regal castles captivate the imagination and beckon travelers to roam their hallowed halls.

And should you be into serious rehab... Carlingford Casle ruinsRaised above the shores of Carlingford Lough, the rocky, curved façade of King John’s Castle is visible across the medieval town.

Adare because:

All of the beautiful windows! I have to see out!

The stone is a lovely color.

The presence and the grace of such a huge building.  It is not clumsy!

Tough choice but I think I'm going with the first one, Ashford Castle. Looks a smidge more laid back and a lot more stretched out then the others...hubby and I could really get away from each other. Ha! The last one is a no go. Had enough of the fixer-uppers when we did renovations on a 1952 lake cottage. Apparently I don't do well with making selections and decisions any longer. LOL!

@Sooner  @cheriere

Adare is beautiful, but it's been converted into a luxury hotel, so privacy might be an issue!  Then again, given the size...

Oh wow!  I can't imagine what the price would be to stay a night there lol!

I guess I'll just have to stick with my first choice, Ashford, not too shabby lol!❤️

What could be more fun on St. Paddy's?  All selections are magnificent.   I'll pick intriguing Carlingford, since I love ruins.

My favorite Irish castle of all, Dunluce, is located in Antrim, battered by the wild sea winds.
