I love the look, the colors and patterns, however why do people want to hang rags on the walls? LOL!!! Some famous designer said this--and I agree!

For my house, to live with, it's plantation shutters and all the light I can let in! All the way.

Love it! I am not afraid to mix patterns as long as one or more of my basic color scheme is included in all patterns.

It depends on what you like. I love fabrics and texture but don't want heavy drapery on my windows. I have valances and swags over blinds. Our friends recently built a new home. They retired and are downsizing. They built on a hill out in the country. Beautiful home. They have many windows but no blinds or drapery in any of them. Not even in the bedrooms! I simply couldn't live like that! I could imaging waking up in the middle of the night and Freddy Kruger staring in my window. LOL!
