So, I like a colonial look, well, most of the time anyway... And I like some of the furniture here... The patterns themselves could even be sort of attractive, but there's just so much of them... The bones of this room are appealing, and it's a very nice fireplace, but it needs some serious visual streamlining...

Much to busy.  Could be a beautiful room, paint in a Williamsburg color to start and simplifly  the accessories.

That wallpaper is way too much.  I prefer painted walls.

I do like the colors and some of the decor, but first thing I would do is remove the valances to start to see why I feel so closed in even though that room is large.

Yep....and there's not a single one that I even like.

Everything just blends in so you really don't see anything. I think if the walls were painted a solid color and just the drapes had the print it would be much more soothing and inviting.
