Re: Painted Furniture in a Dining Room

I thoroughly love painted furniture.

I have my eye on a small round table in a local consignment store $25.00!!!  I have no where to put it but I want it and if I buy it....it will be getting a good cleaning and then painted.

The rug has all the colors in it that they are displaying.  Just a little too much for my taste.  But I love painted furniture, but not so many.  Don't like the chandelier though.  Also too many items on the table top.

A little too 'Alice in Wonderland' for me, but I do love the wall color.

Love the idea!

One of my personal favorite pieces is a dark red buffet.  While it was sold as a dining room piece, I have no dining room here, but it works perfectly well in my living room.

Re: Painted Furniture in a Dining Room

I  should clarify my original post.

I like "some colors" of painted furniture (i.e., LL Bean cottage furniture, etc.)  I have a piece of their blue book shelf units that I love.

The colors here, to me, are awful, either individually or together as in the pic. The room, overall, is way to busy as well.

It's bright and colorful that's for sure.

OMG, no.  Sensory overload.  Strip out everything but the walls and ceiling and start again.

I love painted furniture when it's done right.
