Paging @Scraphappy - Your Fireplace?

On another thread you mentioned the home you purchased had a painted over brick fireplace.  I'm looking to move eventually and would love a brick woodburner again.

Question for you or others, have you been able to remove the paint and restore the brick to it's original look?  I've seen sandblasting and chemicals used.

Hi there!  I don't remember that.  Are you sure it was me?

In the redecorating thread you said your crown molding and fireplace had been painted over by the previous owners.
