Sadly, this is a huge No for me.  The aqua is OK but I certainly would not want it for wall color in a living or sitting room.  I'm not fond of most of the furnishings either. I do like the exterior of the house though.

Blue walls always seem too chilly for my rainy climate.

Very calming for the most part--except for the horrible rug!! I just hate that kind of yellow, tan,  muddy gold color----looks like the middle  has the turq in it, but not enough ----that would be the first thing I got rid of.

There's actually a lot to dislike here.

The house is fine and so is the color on the ceiling and walls.  But everything else -- the rug, furniture, art and light fixtures -- can go.

Not a fan of pale blue but here it looks ok.  However, the pattern on the upholstered chairs and the rug have got to go.  Especially the rug, it looks out of place and my first reaction was, "why is that there?"  lol

Could have predicted the consensus horrified reaction to the rug!  Although I understand, I do have a different take. 

Traditionally, in the world of old Persian and other Asian rugs, they were so well made, and so valuable, that families would inherit them, from generation to generation.  They would tend to use them, without necessarily feeling that they had to coordinate them with whatever furnishings, colors or patterns they had at any given time.  Admittedly, it's an old-school concept...

You see that alot with the very omnipresent, familiar burgundy and dark blue ones that have been so popular in the West.  People loved them, in and of themselves as objects of beauty, and just used them regardless of whatever else was going on in the room.

I do like a little coordination of colors myself, but can live with the combo in the Fuqua house-- note, it does have a soft teal-ish color in both the center medallion, and in the corners and other parts of the rug. I suspect in real life, that blue-ish green color is more visible and prominent, tying in with the walls and couch blues:

Plus, the other cozy rug colors to me are an attractive counterpoint to the airiness of the room.

I say all that, but when I got my Pakistani rug, and Indian rug, years ago, I did fussily make sure that each had enough of the soft pink tones that I knew would coordinate with the fabrics and upholstery I'm always drawn to, ha.

The color is pretty but there are too many patterns, colors, and styles going on furniture wise in this house. I would have to redecorate.

The Den is my favorite room. It is calming.

Love this room for many reasons but especially for the color scheme.

I don't find the pale aqua color soothing. I find I focus on the walls and not other items in the room
