JPC: I;m surprised you aren't seeing any tracking info yet. It was included in my shipping email and also in my account online at Skyline. The email didn't say which company but when I clicked on the tracking link, it automatically took me to UPS. If you aren't getting any type of link, I would call also. It seems that all the preorders went out within a day or so of each other, so I'm sure we should all be around the same delivery date. Keep me posted on what you find out.

Hi SHOPR: Glad you liked those JS pieces too. They are so different since they are really without his usual color schemes. If I remember correctly, JPC is getting the snowman from that collection too.

I think we are all now entering that phase of not impulse buying. It will be too easy from now until Christmas to start "collecting" things again. I'm running out of both display and storage space on some of these things, so before my DH starts to get annoyed, I'll have to back off too. At least until he sees something he also likes, then all bets are off.

[Just Plain Crazy]

Hi MTH,

I finally went into skyline gifts and check the status of the shipping and it says it left their facility on the 18th by USPS so I check there and it left the postal service at 10"02 pm on the 18th and I should get delivery on Monday. Sounds like I will have to wait a few days longer than you to see my goodies.

Strange it is going by postal service since I have 5 items coming so it should be a bigger box. Oh well,

It had the tracking number in my email but couldn't click on it. I had to copy and print to check it out and no mention on how it was shipped. Strange.

Hi JPC: I'm glad you finally got to the bottom of the shipment. I do think its strange that your box is going UPSP. Maybe its cheaper to send to Florida by UPS?? Looks like my items are still on schedule for tomorrow. They are in the upper portion of the state already so there shouldn't be any problem getting them down to me by the time they do tomorrow's deliveries. I will let you know when they arrive. We have had crazy weather here today. Severe lightning. Lost power at work so now I have to go in extra early tomorrow to finish things up from today before we start seeing patients tomorrow. At least I have something to look forward to when UPS comes by!!

Hi All: I received my JS order today. JPC you will be most impressed with the snowmen, even the minis. They are adorable and the Warm Kindness Snowman is amazing. I can hardly wait to see how this year's witches came out. Please provide some feedback as the rest of you receive your shipments. I can't imagine how anyone would be disappointed.

Good Morning JPC: I hope your items will arrive on Monday too. can't wait to hear what you think, especially the Take a Bite. I know you have really wanted that piece for a while now. My witch is scheduled to arrive mid July. I did also the Santa. Couldn't pass him up . He is beautiful. Great face as with all JS's Santa pieces and I like the fact that although you can tell the two pieces are from the same "collection", the Santa and Snowman have some different animals. I also like the Santa hat. Totally different from his other Santas. It gives him a little different look, more like a "Father Christmas". I specially mentioned the snowmen as I know that is your real weakness. I was so surprised at how the snowmen were. Something about this year's snowmen that seem more advanced in his creativity (if that makes any sense). I only have a few of his mini pieces (mostly Halloween ones), and I was very surprised at how substantial the mini actually was. I know you will really like those and if space is an issue, they can still be tucked on a shelf and be noticed. My DH really liked all the pieces I received and in the past I tended to have a specific table and area that I displayed all my pieces at the holidays. This time my DH recommended I start spreading them around into different rooms. I may try that idea when the time comes, but I've always enjoyed guests taking time to view my JS "table" and ask me about the pieces. Luckily its a multi-tiered table. Can't wait to hear your thoughts when the package arrives Monday. You have a great weekend too. My washer broke and after weeks of waiting for a part to arrive and hanging out at a laundromat, was told yesterday that the part didn't fix it and that it can't be fixed so we are going washer shopping this weekend Ugh!!. Wish me luck.

Sorry you went thru all that trouble waiting for parts for your washer and then it still didn't work. Would have been a lot easier to buy one sooner. Hope you found one you like and you didn't have to put a second mortgage on the house to get it.

Oh Santa sounds neat too. His face is what drew me to him. For some reason I thought his face was so neat and glad that they did have different animals with each one but JS is always thinking. He knew if he did different animals, we ladies who are "out of control" would buy them both.

I do like the mini snowmen and have been getting them each time I see a new one. They fit in so nicely among the bigger ones and since my real estate is getting so precious, that way I can still fed my hunger for my snowmen. I am anxious to see the new minis this year. Fell for them both the 1st time I saw them. I do think he is getting better with age, but don't we all.

WHAT are you talking about? Who is "JS" and what is "CIJ"?

JS is Jim Shore and CIJ is Christmas in July. I know these, but I am clueless over on Beauty Banter with all those initials and abbreviations.
