Yes, my ottoman with casters does have a skirt. Once you have the ottoman in your home I doubt you will be bothered by the casters. No one will notice.

If you HATE it, can you return it?

LOL, bigsister, I'm not a "hateful" person, so I'm not concerned about having such strong feelings over the casters! {#emotions_dlg.laugh}

I am probably obsessing a little too much over the casters feature; however, once furniture is custom made, ordered and delivered to our homes, that's it....Unless there is some sort of defect, etc., most furniture stores don't take furniture back...so that is why I just want to be absolutely sure that the casters feature will fit in with my style and tastes.

When I woke up this morning, I decided that they will add a unique flair to the ottoman, as well as making it easy to move around when necessary, so I am headed to the furniture store today to place the order....My taste is not matchy-match....more eclectic...so I'm sure it will finish off our living area very nicely!

I'm surprised that there haven't been more replies, as I expected that there would definitely be other posters who must have the feature of casters on certain furniture pieces....I remember this forum when it was filled with so many great posters whose opinions were so helpful and the threads would move so fast....really fun and enjoyable and so helpful!

So, I really appreciate your taking the time to give me your feedback, as well as lolakimono and gailchap!....You have been a sweetheart and so helpful in calming my doubts about the casters..You stuck with me all the way in helping with my obsession!...LOL...I will definitely let you know when the ottoman comes in....It usually takes 6 to 8 weeks, but I will bump this thread back up to update you, since you have been so thoughtful!

Smile Wishing You A Wonderful Weekend!

Re: Ottomans With Casters On Legs

Update!....I ordered the ottoman today and it will be in our living room within 6 to 10 weeks....a beautiful apple green color....tufted on top...beautiful legs...and of course, with casters!...LOL

We have an open floor area and my favorite accent color is certain shades of green...Our living area needed a green accent to complete the overall look and the ottoman will do the job perfectly!...I went with a picture that I saw in a Homes And Garden magazine and fell in love with it right away!

I love decorating! Smile

Re: Ottomans With Casters On Legs

I think you will be happy with the casters I know I would. I am trying to find a new kitchen table and chairs with casters on the chairs. Chromecraft always made the best quality sets that I have ever owned and now I have found out that they went out of business. Had I known they were going to shut down their operations I would have ordered a set. There is not a set to be found in any furniture stores even on line, that is made by chromecraft. Love casters on furniture it makes it so much easier to move around and clean around.

Hi cater...When I saw your post, I googled a few things and found "dinette online"...On their homepage, at the top, they have a notice about Chromcraft going out of business; however, they provide links (highlighted in blue) to Douglas, Tempo & CR Joseph...and their sets look very similar to Chromcraft.....You might want to give them a try!

Hope you come back and see this!

Re: Ottomans With Casters On Legs

I'd step out of the box and go for the ottoman with casters! My dh is handy enough that he'd just replace the casters with legs if need be if it really bothered us. I say go for it!

Hi ID2....I did "go for it" yesterday...headed to the store and ordered it!....It has beautiful legs on it, with the low casters added, so it's not like they really stand out all that much...and I decided that it kind of added a unique flair or even an eclectic look to the ottoman....I couldn't pass it up, as it is the exact size and style that I have been searching for...really a perfect, lovely finishing touch to our living area!

I'm always "stepping out of the box"...and love mixing and matching...Our den area has leopard wall-to-wall carpeting if that gives you any idea!...LOL

Re: Ottomans With Casters On Legs

Me and My Shadow I thank you for looking up that site. I have looked there and also found a company that goes by the name Cramco they are supposed to be a reliable company also. I just am so disappointed that Chromecraft is out of business. I have called every furniture store within 250 miles of where I live and it seems that anyone who carried Chromecraft sold every set they had in stock when the news came out. I guess I am the only one who did not see it. Thanks so much and I will check out Dinette on line again. I think they also sell Cramco.
