So I ordered this:

And here's what happened

Received both the brass candle holder and the green taper.

The brass one arrived with nicks on it!

The candle with the realistic flame arrived in a box stating that the contents included a remote.

There was no remote in the box.

Called PB...explained the problem .

They sent another candle arriving after I went back online to read that a remote is available to purchase separately... and no shipping avail can pick up at store! WHAT?

Called ordered remote w/shipping.

Meanwhile, I am still waiting on the brass item, which the shipping info says it costs $29.oo,and that is WRONG... whoever was handling the book work got the prices mixed up and switched the items!

When I called PB the first time, my convo started with "What is going on?"

Doesn't this surprise you?

That's really too bad, I really hope they can fix this for you. I order from PB quite a bit, and have only had a problem once and they fixed it promptly. I hope you get the same results......

@CANDLEQUEEN

Thank you!

I'm determined!

I reminded them when I called that two years ago I got my sofa and rug from them... IDK... I worry that they will go out of business!

I often wonder if the WS companies are struggling.  I get so frustrated with them sometimes as something won't be available in my store so I am expected to pay for shipping.  Most retailers allow you to ship to the store for free, then you can pick the item up, but PB charges the same shipping either way.  I buy less and less from them.

My latest fiasco was buying two throw pillow covers with a matching throw.  I received the covers, but the throw went to back order.  After several weeks, I called around to see if I could find it at one of my local stores.  One that is an hour away had it in stock so I drove right over to buy it.  When I get there, the throw is fuzzy with bits of debris.  Clearly, it had been on display.  When I asked about a discount considering its used appearance, they gave me 10% off.  I took it because I already had the pillow covers.  The next time I looked at the item, it was discontinued, so I'm glad I grabbed the display item, but I'm annoyed that my item was still showing back order status.  Of course, I canceled the order at that point.

@LTT1 ,  I'm so sorry you are having frustrations with your Pottery Barn order.    Grrr!   As a side comment, I love the brass candle and also, the flameless taper candle!  I have some as well, but seeing it in the green, wow.  Love the green, especially this time of year!

I looked at the whole set of brass candles that yours comes from, and they are so well done, with that vintage look and patina!   Whenever the snafus do get straightened out, you'll have a very pretty item.

Very sorry.  They did great with my lamps several years ago.

@Marsha2003

Yes it seems sad for these things to happen with what I consider to be a high-end retailer.

I must admit I usually check their site last because I know I will be tempted and that's what I'm trying to avoid! LOL

I ordered a very expensive lamp from PB and was so disappointed they would not ship it to my local store.  $29 for shipping is a hefty price IMHO to ship this already expensive lamp but wanted it too badly.
