I don't mind the first pic, but I would get rid of the orange chairs.....too much.  However that second pic.......Yikes!  I would be crazy.

The second room - just glanced at it - gave me a headache.  Definite NO!

Like red, true orange walls would make me hyper.  Way back in my youth I owned an orange Dodge Demon, DH bought it for me from his brother.  Boy did I hate that car.  Ironically, we've had several true red cars since then and they didn't bother me.  Of course sitting inside I'm not that conscious of the color.

I love the first room. It is really cozy and inviting. I have a chair the same color as those in my library. The second room is just way to out there and actually hurts your eyes to look at it.

I like the first room and actually I like to wear orange and turquoise together even though I don't like the second room!

Our bedroom has country white walls, navy curtains and a navy and white comforter.  I decorate with orange accents:  velvet throw pillows, an orange glass vase, an orange and blue afghan and an orange accent quilt.  This combines our two favorite colors- blue for me and orange for him.

Totally agree that the first one is very nice and the second a disaster. I actually had an orange focal wall and orange shag carpeting in my bedroom as a teenager. Would I do an orange room now? Probably not.

The first room is pretty but the chairs make it too orange for me. 

The second room brings me back to Hullabaloo and Laugh In.

No orange for me, but I do think peach tones are lovely in decorating.
